Our team is comprised of a unique group of professionals whose goal, through advances in research and education, is to stay on the forefront and provide the highest level of clinical patient care. By providing a satellite location, we are working to optimize our patients’ access to exceptional quality care and service.

About Our Practice

Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates is a group surgical practice founded by Dr. Robert D. Carpenter in 1997. Dr. Carpenter announced his retirement from private practice in February of 2010, and his former partner Dr. Lionel A. Bulford continue with their commitment to excellent surgical care.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Bulford manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions. Dr. Bulford practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from Dental Implant Surgery and Wisdom Tooth Removal to Corrective Jaw Surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries, and Fractures.

Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) Sedation or outpatient General Anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.

To facilitate the best possible care, the surgical staff at Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates includes surgically trained registered nurses and experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants. All surgical staff members are BLS (Basic Life Support – CPR) certified. Our RNs have completed ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as well.

Our surgeons and staff members are a unique group of professionals whose aim is to provide the highest level of contemporary clinical patient care in multiple practice locations specifically selected to optimize our patients’ access to quality care.
