Meet our Oral Surgery Team

Danielle Whitacre – practice Manager

Danielle began her career with us in 2008 as a Patient Care Coordinator. She was promoted to Team Leader and then Office Manager in 2014. Danielle is knowledgeable in all aspects of the practice. It is Danielle who implements and maintains our office systems, and procedures and ensures that all aspects of our practice locations integrate seamlessly with the excellent care provided by our Doctors, Nurses, Surgical teams and Administrative Staff. Danielle provides guidance, instruction, direction and leadership.

Donna Tucker – Team Leader – implant coordinator

Donna Tucker has a dental background of more than 20 years. Starting as a Patient Care Coordinator in 2012 she was then promoted to Team Leader in 2014. Today, as Implant Coordinator, she works exclusively with implant patients educating them about implant treatment, coordinating appointments throughout the entire treatment sequence and answering questions that may arise. The coordinator is a direct liaison between our office and the referring dentist’s office.

AMY FRASIER – Insurance & billing coordinator

Amy has worked in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for over 15 years. She started her career as a surgical assistant and then came to our practice as a Patient Care Coordinator. Amy became Insurance and Billing Coordinator in 2018. She serves as a liaison between insurance carriers and patients to accurately file and process all insurance claims. Amy has extensive knowledge of the insurance plans, claim submissions and reimbursement schedules and provides excellent patient relations.

Surgical Staff

To facilitate the best possible patient care, we also have five experienced oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants on our staff. All surgical staff members are BLS (Basic Life Support – CPR) certified. Our surgical support staff represents over 125 years of clinical experience to better serve our patients.

Registered Nurses

The surgical staff at Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates (SCOMSA) includes surgically trained registered nurses (RN’s) and Licensed Practical Nurses who assist in the administration of IV sedation and general anesthesia during surgery. Having nurses available to monitor our patients during the administration of anesthesia as well as during the recovery phase of treatment is unprecedented in our area. Our goal is to provide each patient with the highest level of surgical care possible in an office environment. Our RN’s are not only BLS (Basic Life Support) certified, but they hold the distinction of having received ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification as well.

In addition, our nurses and our surgical staff graduated from a High Fidelity Human Simulation Course during which they were trained in the most current techniques to treat sedated patients and manage medical emergencies.

Administrative Staff

The administrative staff at Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates includes up-to-date and informed front desk personnel who facilitate the scheduling, confirmation and coordination of patient appointments. All of our administrative staff members are BLS (Basic Life Support – CPR) certified.
