Meet Our Staff
Joseph V. Olszowka, DMD – Our Associate
Our Associate, Joseph V. Olszowka, DMD graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh. He graduated third in his class from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1985. Dr. Olszowka completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, California and has received Board Certification from the American Board of Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Olszowka was commissioned in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant in 1986. During his 21 years of active duty service, he was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Tortuga, U.S.S. Tarawa, U.S.S. John C. Stennis and the U.S.S. Ronald Regan. Dr. Olszowka was deployed to the Arabian Gulf to care for our Nation’s men and women in uniform. Dr. Olszowka retired from active service in July of 2007 at the rank of Captain.
Lisa M. Gruber – Practice Manager
Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. She then began an eighteen year career in law office management. Lisa brought this professional management experience to Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in 1997 and has overseen the construction and operation of both practice locations since that time.
Rebecca D. Pecorino – Implant Coordinator
Rebecca was hired in 1997 as a surgical assistant. Today, as implant coordinator, she works exclusively with implant patients educating them about implant treatment, coordinating appointments throughout the entire treatment sequence and answering questions that may arise. The coordinator is a direct liaison between our office and the referring dentist’s office.
Surgical Staff
Our surgical support staff is comprised of dedicated medical professionals including four full time registered nurses, four surgical assistants and a certified dental assistant all of whom receive CPR training. Our goal is to provide each patient with the highest level surgical care possible in an office environment. Having four full time registered nurses available to monitor our patients during the administration of anesthesia as well as during the recovery phase of treatment is unprecedented in our area. Our surgical support staff represents over 126 years of clinical experience to better serve our patients.
Administrative Staff
The administrative staff at Saratoga County Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates includes front desk personnel who facilitate scheduling and coordinate appointments. In addition we also have a billing specialist who is familiar with insurance plans, claim submission and reimbursement.
